FAQs

  • Do I have to be a member of the Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland to enter the awards?
No, you do not. Entries are welcomed by those who are members or non-members.
  • Is there a fee to enter?
There is no fee to enter the awards. However, there is a cost to attend the event if you’re successfully shortlisted.
  • Can I enter multiple award categories?
Yes, you can. There is no limit to the number of categories that can be entered. If multiple categories are being entered, a different nomination must be submitted for each category.  Although it’s not compulsory, we strongly recommend tailoring each submission according to the category being entered.
  • Is there a word count?
The word count is 1000 words for your main submission plus up to a 1000 words in supporting evidence section, however considering the volume of material read by the judges, a more concise and collected approach is advised to ensure your entry stands out.
  • My entry contains confidential information – how can I be sure this will not be disclosed.
Don’t worry – as long as you clearly mark the entry where relevant, letting us know that you do not wish to have certain information shared, we will ensure that all such information is kept strictly confidential.

Please note that a winners’ book will be produced for the awards ceremony, and will contain some information pertaining to the entry to explain why that submission won.
  • Can I include supporting materials?
You can support your nomination with supporting materials up to 1000 words. These can be images, videos, media coverage, statistics and internal & external feedback.

If you wish to include videos, please add a hyperlink to it in your entry, rather than embedding the video itself.

Note: When providing links and videos please ensure they do not expire as the judging will be taking place in August and September 2024. If necessary, please include the username and/or passwords
