Guernsey, 1 April 2016 – Sir Richard Collas, Bailiff of the Bailiwick of Guernsey has been confirmed as the keynote speaker at this year’s ICSA Guernsey Conference, which takes place on 27 April at St Pierre Park Hotel Spa & Golf Resort, Rohais, St Peter Port.
“A number of pressing governance challenges such as the development of strategy at board level, the embedding of socially responsible practice, succession planning, cyber crime and intellectual property will be considered,” says Sara Bourne, Chair of ICSA’s Guernsey Branch. “With regulation stricter than ever before, this conference is the ideal forum to have an open discussion about the benefits of good governance to Guernsey and its reputation internationally.”
Other speakers include:
- Local governance professional Mark Wearden, Director of MBS Challenge Perception and Senior Lecturer at the University of Lincoln who will be looking at the links between longevity, succession planning and long-term business success
- Emma Bailey, Director of Guernsey Financial Services Commission’s Investment Supervision and Policy Division who will consider the governance themes identified by the Commission
- Matthew Parker, Head of Information Security at Mourant Ozannes who will be identifying the biggest threats coming from the cyber crime market in 2016
- Alan Bougourd, Registrar, Guernsey Registry who will consider the opportunities that lie with Guernsey developing its international IP capability
- Susie Crowder, Non-Executive Director at UBS and C5 who will consider what effective leadership on CSR looks like.
