London/Belfast, 24 October 2014 – Dr Lisa Bradley, from the University of Ulster, gave an inspiring talk to governance professionals on the importance of adopting a professional ethos as a state of mind at ICSA’s Northern Ireland Branch AGM on 15 October.
Addressing members and students of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators undertaking the University of Ulster’s MSc in Corporate Governance, she similarly impressed on them the need to build effective personal and professional networks.
The event, which took place at the Ramada Plaza, also saw Chris Glennie, the Institute’s Business Development Director, consider future opportunities for the Institute and the governance profession in general afforded by current developments in the public and private sectors globally.

ICSA aims to be the natural home for governance and compliance professionals and the Northern Ireland Branch will be holding a number of professional development events over the next twelve months. Social events will also be well catered for with the annual black tie dinner scheduled for 13 November and the Christmas lunch scheduled for 8 December.
