ICSA appoints Policy & Research Director
The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) today announces the appointment of Peter Swabey as Policy & Research Director, based in London.

In his new role, Peter is responsible for further developing the profile of the Institute to members, regulators, policymakers, employers and other stakeholders by delivering thought leadership and lobbying campaigns aligned to ICSA strategy. He is a member of the Senior Management team and reports to Simon Osborne, ICSA Chief Executive.

Peter joins from Equiniti where he was Company Secretary & Industry Leadership Director focused on positioning Equiniti in the market as an opinion leader using his technical and business knowledge on a broad range of company secretarial issues.  

Simon Osborne said: ‘I am delighted to welcome Peter to the ICSA team.  He brings with him 25 years of invaluable experience and will play an important role in shaping and implementing the Institute’s strategy. His appointment reflects our ongoing commitment to provide members and the wider compliance, governance and risk community with industry expertise and advice.’

Peter Swabey said: ’I am delighted to be joining the ICSA team as we commence such an important project for the future of our Institute.  This is a great opportunity for us to focus on the skills that Chartered Secretaries have and promote both the work of the Institute and the careers of our members.’   

Peter has been a Fellow of ICSA since 1999 and holds a degree in History from the University of Leeds.
