Maples employee Claire de Wet comes top of class at ICSA Northern Ireland Awards

Belfast, 7 February 2017 – ICSA: The Governance Institute recognised the achievements of some exceptional students at its Northern Ireland Annual Branch Dinner and Awards Ceremony on Friday 3 February, with star student Claire de Wet walking off with four out of five of the top prizes. An employee of Maples Fund Services, Claire was judged to be the best student of ICSA’s Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme, offered by Ulster University. She also took home top prizes for corporate governance and strategy and was jointly awarded the Newton Compton Memorial Cup by the local Northern Ireland Branch, in recognition of being the joint top student in Company Law and Company Secretaryship.

  • The Worshipful Company of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators Prize for Best Performance in ‘Grad ICSA’ by an ICSA registered student: Claire De Wet, Maples
  • Axiom Prize for Best Student in Corporate Governance: Claire De Wet, Maples
  • Newton Compton Memorial Cup (ICSA Northern Ireland Branch Award): Claire De Wet, Maples and Elliott Bunting, BDO
  • Ulster Bank Prize for Best Student in Management: Brita Foley, Glanbia plc
  • Ulster Bank Prize for Best Student in Strategy: Claire De Wet, Maples.
