London, 3 September 2020 – ProShare and ICSA: The Chartered Governance Institute are delighted to announce that Murray Tompsett has been appointed Head of ProShare, starting this October.
Murray will be responsible for managing the growth and development of the work of ProShare in promoting employee share plans, with a particular emphasis on all-employee share plans.
He joins ProShare from Computershare and Equatex, where he has been a Senior Client Relationship Manager for four years, following eleven years working with discretionary and all-employee share plans at Capita. Murray brings with him a wide experience of UK and international share plans, from the HMRC approved SIP, Sharesave, EMI and CSOP, to a range of discretionary and executive plans, including LTIPs, RSPs, PSPs, Deferred Bonus and Phantom plans.
Peter Swabey, Executive Director of ProShare said:
“Murray’s extensive experience of the share plans’ world will be invaluable in further raising the profile of ProShare and maximising the benefit that both ProShare members and Institute members can derive from increasing integration between the two organisations. I know that he is very much looking forward to meeting or, in many cases, renewing acquaintance with all our members and I look forward to working with him to carry the great work of ProShare forward.”
Murray Tompsett said:
“'ProShare is the leading voice of employee share ownership in the UK, and I am thrilled and honoured to be given this opportunity to lead and promote something that I so ardently believe in. I have been working with all varieties of employee share plans since 2005, and am passionate about how they, particularly all-employee plans, have the power to make a real difference to their participants' lives.
“I am very much looking forward to speaking with as many of ProShare's members as possible over the coming months.”
