Welcome to The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland in the counties of Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire and the city of Milton Keynes. We are an active and successful Group with nearly 670 members and 110 students resident in the area.

This session was led by Erika Percival LLB LLM FCIS, Group Company Secretary at Low & Bonar PLC, and previously Group Company Secretary and Head of Legal at The Restaurant Group PLC, a FTSE 250 hospitality company.

Peter Swabey, Policy and Research Director of The Chartered Governance Institute and Frank Curtiss, The Chartered Governance Institute UKRIAT Immediate Past President, updated you on the introduction of the new qualifying programme syllabus, affiliated membership and the new designation of chartered governance professional. They also sought your views on the International Council proposals to build on these innovations, including a new name for The Chartered Governance Institute.
