Audit committees public and private sector – regulatory update

Kindly sponsored by KPMG, this CPD briefing examined the important role of the audit committee and will include: 

• role and responsibilities of an effective audit committee
• how the key challenges facing audit committees are being responded to from a practical perspective
• how audit committees are managed from a state/public bodies viewpoint
• the key role of the secretary to the audit committee 

Speakers for the morning included Linda Hickey, Head of Corporate Broking Goodbody Stockbrokers, Director Kingspan, plc and Noreen Fahy, Senior Governance Specialist, Institute of Public Administration (IPA). Both speakers are current members of a number of audit committees and will share their vast experience gained with delegates at this CPD event.
