Directors' duties

Kindly sponsored and hosted by University College Cork, this CPD briefing examined the important area of directors' duties and included: 

• What are the key duties of a director?
• To whom are these duties owed?
• What are the consequences for breach of such duties?
• A due diligence checklist for members taking up future appointments as a director.

The session for the morning was led by Salvador Nash FCIS, Vice President, The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland - Irish Region. Salvador was joined by a panel of experienced directors who will discuss and share their practical experiences with delegates in a question and answer session.

This was an opportunity for company secretaries and directors to review and discuss this important area of company law.
