For the first time in a long time, we are hosting an in-person networking event on the south coast, conveniently located at the Ageas Insurance offices in Eastleigh, with ample parking and a variety available transport links. The event will provide an opportunity for those interested in Governance Matters to meet like minded professionals and help to build a thriving network in the local area, as well as earning 1.5 hours of CPD.
A representative from Grant Thornton will be attending to talk about the upcoming changes to the Corporate Governance Code as well as the focus on ESG as part of the critical board agenda going forward. A guest speaker from G2 legal will also be attending to provide Company Secretary / Governance market insights, and helpful hints and tips on CV writing and Interviewing skills. There will be plenty of opportunity at the event to ask questions, discuss governance topics and network with other professionals over a cuppa and a biscuit too.
The Event is being provided for free and you will earn 1.5 CPD points for attending.

Irina Velkova, Director FSA, Grant Thornton
Irina is a director within the Grant Thornton regulatory practice and her role includes advising firms on new and emerging regulations and working with board of directors and c-suite stakeholders on resolving governance and regulatory matters. She had advised a number of financial services institutions across banking, insurance, investment management and fintech. Her expertise is focused on corporate governance, conduct, risk management and culture, and increasingly so ESG and climate change.
Mark Chambers, Director of Company Secretarial G2 Legal
Mark heads up the Co Sec team and is an ACG qualified Chartered Secretary, placing company secretaries/governance professionals across London. Mark also previously worked in-house as a company secretary in FTSE 100/250 listed companies for several years.
