In 2018, The Chartered Goverance Institute published its new competency framework. Developed in collaboration with governance professionals from many levels and sectors, it focuses on the skills required for high performance in a company secretarial or governance role. Such behaviours are grouped into three areas: understanding, practice and values, with emphasis on their transferable nature - across sectors and of use to governance professionals at all stages of their careers.

This session was an amusing, interactive, panel-led presentation on the essence of the framework explored through stories from practice.
