Could this be your year?

Nominations and submissions for the ProShare Awards are still open – don’t miss your chance to highlight an outstanding employee share plan project.

Tips for success

Submitting a nomination need not be daunting. In our webinar on 27 October expert judge, Janet Cooper OBE, provided some top tips to help you make the most of your nomination.

  • Make sure that you address the criteria for the specific award for which you’re applying. We are keen to understand what you did and – just as importantly – why. Effective applications are clear about the objectives and success measures.
  • Apply for more than one award. This can increase your chances of success as long as you make sure that you’re addressing the criteria for each award you’re going for – make that clear within your submission.
  • Provide relevant data. We love data so any stats that you have that can help to tell the story of your success are a welcome addition.
  • Include relevant examples. Especially in the Best Communication category – one of the most popular categories – it’s helpful to see what you’ve done, so include links to videos or samples of posters and, where you’ve tailored these to meet different cultural or demographic needs, let us know.
  • Tell us about the team. Include details of who was involved in the work as part of the nomination, including where you’ve worked with a provider, adviser or administrator.
  • Highlight innovation. It’s always exciting to see novel approaches so be sure to highlight any innovation in the work that you’ve done.

What not to do

  • Don’t waffle. The best nominations make it easy for the judges to find the key points.
  • Don’t leave gaps. Your nomination should build a complete picture of what you’ve done.
  • Don’t leave it to the last minute! The deadline for submission is 5:00 pm on 3 November so be sure to get your nomination over to us in good time.

Submit a nomination

Sometimes the shortest nominations are the best. Be clear on the key messages – if in doubt, try to think about what you would want to see printed in the winners book! And don’t be afraid to incorporate some personality into your nomination. Make sure that you stand out from the crowd by making your nomination unique to your organisation.

The ProShare awards will be taking place on 14 December at the London Park Lane Hilton. Already heralded – by Murray Tompsett, Head of ProShare – as the industry equivalent of The Oscars, this year marks ProShare’s 30th birthday so the awards promise to be even more special than usual.

It’s a welcome opportunity to celebrate excellent work in our sector and making a nomination is a great way to acknowledge teams and individuals who are making a real impact within the employee share plans.

If you have any questions at all, or if you’re struggling to access the awards criteria or nomination form, feel free to get in touch with the ProShare Team who will be happy to help.
