Understanding the governance workplace of today

Understanding the governance workplace of today

Please help us with some important research into new ways of working.

We at CGIUKI are keen to understand how workplace changes post lockdown have affected governance practitioners.

In the last three years, the way many of us work has changed fundamentally. Lockdown made most of us all familiar with working from home and, since then, flexible or hybrid working have become the norm for many organisations, with employees attending their office a few days a week and working the rest at home or, in some cases, working fully remotely now.

We want to understand how this new way of working is impacting governance professionals at all stages of their career, from a personal point of view as well as in relation to practical work aspects.

We are therefore conducting a survey which will explore your views on and experience of changes to working practices, career development and wellbeing. The survey isn’t only for remote or hybrid workers – if you still work full-time in the office, we’d like to hear from you too. We’re hoping to gather insights from members and the wider governance community to get a really good cross-section of responses, and we’ll be feeding back to you on what we find. Please feel free to share the link to the survey with your network.

What is unexplored is not understood. By participating in this research, you will be helping the Institute to identify how we can best offer you support through guidance information, training and professional development. We plan to share our findings at Governance 2023, our Annual Conference, and afterwards more widely with our governance community.

Completing the questionnaire should take no longer than 15 minutes and combines a mixture of multiple choice and free-text questions. The survey is anonymous and you will not be personally identifiable in our research outputs.
