Heather Cross

Heather has many years’ experience in Further Education as a governance expert, was previously a College Vice-Principal and before her work in FE, worked in other areas of education governance. Her experience ranges over both urban and rural colleges across different sizes and constitutional types. She is a qualified Chartered Governance Professional and a National Leader in Governance, working to provide governance advice and support for college Boards and individual Governance Professionals and Chairs.

She is currently Governance Adviser and Clerk to the Corporation at Wiltshire College and University Centre in the south west, co-leads the Education and Training Foundation (ETF) Governance Professionals Expert Development Programme and is a Vice-Chair of the Association of Colleges (AoC) National Governance Professionals Group.
