John Ward-Zinski

Earthwatch Europe is an environmental non-profit organisation with science at its heart. Its charitable mission is to effect positive environmental change by using science to connect people with the natural world. Earthwatch has expertise in training school teachers, community groups and also corporate employees, in small senior leadership groups and in large operational cohorts.

John is Business Development Director at Earthwatch Europe, where he leads the team that has built partnerships with companies including HSBC, Shell, Tate & Lyle, BlackRock and MINI, helping them to embed environmental understanding and commitment in the boardrooms of their organisations and beyond.

John also manages Earthwatch’s contribution to environmental pan-industry alliances such as the Aldersgate Group and Business for Nature.

John’s career history has been diverse, ranging from the founding team of a circular economy start-up to 25 years in BP, in various UK and international leadership positions.

In his other role as an independent consultant, John is proficient in running and interpreting environmental life cycle analysis, and is trained in operating the World Business Council for Sustainable Development’s “Circular Transition Indicators”.
