Lena Eriksson

Lena is a senior advisor at Nestor Advisors focusing on the governance of financial institutions. She is particularly focusing on board and board secretariat related matters, compliance issues as well as governance in group structures.

Lena has extensive experience from her many years as Head of Group Legal and Board Secretary of Nordea, the largest financial services group in the Nordic region. She has worked in a rapidly transforming industry environment, impacted by economic cycles, digitalization, regulatory and structural development, and changing business models. She advised management and the board in governance matters and has a thorough understanding of the development of governance processes in a large multinational financial institution both from a theoretical and practical perspective. As Head of Group Legal, she led the Nordic legal team with high levels of support and performance in complex and large-scale strategic change agendas.

Lena chairs the Swedish Network for Board Secretaries in major listed companies and is furthermore engaged in designing and performing executive leadership programs for legal leaders, amongst others with Novare Leadership Academy.

Lena has a Master of Laws from Uppsala University. She speaks Swedish and English and has a good understanding of Norwegian and Danish.
