Our vision is to make exceptional, audacious, collaborative theatre that represents the complexity of modern Scotland, and to take that theatre to our communities and to the world. We are expert in fostering collaborations with innovative artists and companies from Scotland, the UK and around the world, creating unique work of true global resonance, deepening and broadening the outlook both of Scottish artists and audiences.

As we embark on our next strategic phase we are looking to welcome three new Non-Executive Directors to our board, who will contribute to the good governance of the organisation, oversee the development and delivery of our vision and act in an ambassadorial role.

We are particularly looking for new board members with experience and skills across these areas:

  • communications and marketing experience ideally in technology or media sectors. Experience of digital media and of broadcasting content to mass audiences would be ideal.
  • experience as a theatre practitioner. A background in promoting the work of disabled artists and experience of increasing their inclusion into mainstream theatre would be ideal.  We are particularly looking for someone with lived experience of disability.
  • strategic expertise in governance, compliance, risk, audit or finance.

In each of these areas we are interested in people from the business world, third sector or cultural sector.  We particularly welcome applications from candidates of colour and gender diverse people and disabled people with an interest in the arts, and theatre.

The board meets four times a year and is supported by three sub-committees. The time commitment is approximately a day a month.
