PLC Assistant Secretary

Our listed client seeks to recruit a proactive, capable Assistant Secretary in a newly created role to help move the function forward, someone who can support the GC/CoSec and help organise, modernise and revamp/upgrade what already exists.

Reporting directly to the GC/CoSec, you will support in providing broad ranging company secretarial services to the Company, in particular its PLC Board, committees of the Board, its subsidiaries and certain joint ventures with third shareholders.

There is a good canvas there to make a real difference to this function, and the team will be great to work with, very action orientated and supportive. The job description available on request.  This is a lovely role for someone who knows what good looks like and would get satisfaction from helping to build that elsewhere!

This role would suit a candidate with the following skills and experience;

  • A self-starter who is used to working proactively, with minimal supervision and manage own workload
  • Mature, unflappable approach, effective communicator - comfortable with minuting meetings to an appropriate standard and able to work with all levels of seniority within the business.
  • Effective communication (written and verbal) with a very good command of the English language
  • Well-organised, with strong time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail
  • Computer literate, particularly with Microsoft Office programs, Company Secretarial Software and electronic Board Meeting portal Board Intelligence (or similar)
  • Ability to handle multiple competing tasks and priorities within tight time frames
  • Proactive, highly competent, outgoing and able to establish relationships effectively with a range of personnel across the business
  • Committed to developing own knowledge and skills
