Governance Support Manager

Initial term: 2 years FTC in the first instance (secondments considered)
Salary: £41500 - £48000 + generous benefits

NHS Providers is the membership organisation for the NHS hospital, mental health, community and ambulance services that treat patients and service users in the NHS. We help those NHS trusts and foundation trusts to deliver high-quality, patient-focused care by enabling them to learn from each other, acting as their public voice and helping shape the system in which they operate. NHS Providers has all trusts in voluntary membership, collectively accounting for £92bn of annual expenditure and employing more than one million staff.

We are seeking an enthusiastic governance professional to work alongside our member development team and specialist governance policy advisor to support and gain further expertise in all aspects of NHS governance and to guide and support the boards of our member organisations in all aspects of healthcare governance.

This is a new post and an exciting opportunity for any governance professional interested in furthering their career in NHS governance, with a Health Bill in progress and new Health Act due in 2022. We fully expect the postholder to be involved in our work to influence the direction of this.

A strong interest and experience in governance is needed for this senior post in our organisation and an understanding of NHS governance is beneficial but not essential.
