Company Secretarial Assistant

This reputed law firm is seeking a Company Secretarial Assistant to join their Company Secretarial Services division, which is based in their North West based offices.
As a Company Secretarial Assistant, you will manage a varied workload, with instructions received directly from CSS clients and our colleagues within the firm. It is important that you can work well on an individual basis, but are also able to provide support as part of a team. The role will suit someone who is keen to progress in a career as a Company Secretary, and has good knowledge of the role.


Matters that the Company Secretarial Assistant will have responsibility for include:
• Management and maintenance of our client's statutory records
• Notifying our client contacts of key filing deadlines in order to meet CA2006 requirements, including annual compliance and bespoke requests
• Drafting board minutes and supporting documentation in respect of core company secretarial matters
• Assisting with bespoke requests received from both our clients and Fee Earners, providing support on a wide range of transactional matters
• Providing board support to clients, including meeting attendance, minute taking and circulation of board packs
• Liaising with Companies House
We are keen to hear from candidates who share our values of teamwork and client focus. A background in a legal environment would be ideal, however we are looking for you to have:
• Knowledge, skills and experience required (bespoke to role), i.e. maintaining statutory records, ensuring compliance with CA2006, attending board meetings including minute taking and circulating board packs
• Part or fully CGI qualified, or committed to working towards this qualification
• A clear understanding of the importance of high standards of client care and attention to detail
• Ability to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative, with confidence dealing and communicating with contacts at all levels
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written (English)
• Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise matters and manage your workload effectively
• Attention to detail
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of Diligent Entities (useful)
