Trustees x 2 - Edinburgh University Students Association

c.10/12 days per year

Edinburgh University Students’ Association (EUSA) is a values-led charity, representing the interests of around 40,000 students – our students are a diverse mix of undergraduates, postgraduates, UK and international students.

We are an exciting, vibrant organisation with a dynamic portfolio of services including; representation, advice, societies and sports clubs. We also operate a large portfolio of commercial services and retail outlets and deliver a number of world-class events.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in the governance of a Students’ Association during a period of significant change.

We are part way through our 2020-25 Strategic Plan, which aspires for us to transform into a high performing students’ union, highly valued by our members.

COVID 19 has had a significant impact on our services, staff, and how we support our members, and we have some financial challenges to address.
We have a good financial position for the short and medium term. Our goal for the long term is to rebuild our financial resilience and maximize the opportunities available to us as we emerge from the pandemic to rebuild a thriving suite of commercial operations.

We believe there are significant commercial opportunities ahead that can provide excellent experiences for students as well as provide additional income that we can invest in our free-to-use services.

We are currently seeking two new Lay Trustees and would value people with expertise in one or more of the following areas; commercial leadership, sustainability, marketing and digital.

Your support as a Trustee will help us ensure we can adapt and continue to represent, support and remain relevant to our membership of the 40,000 students at the University of Edinburgh.

We will welcome applications from everybody as we strive to become ever more diverse and inclusive.
