About the role:

We are a team of people who love and look after six of the most wonderful palaces in the world. We create space for spirits to stir and be stirred.

In this role you will support the Head of Governance, Risk & Assurance in the provision of effective and efficient governance services and deputise on all Governance matters in order to support the CEO, trustees and Executive Board in discharging their duties.

Your key responsibilities will involve leading on statutory records, filings, and appropriate filing and records management systems, including a review of and improvements to paper and electronic archives. You will therefore be a thoroughly organised and structured individual who thrives on creating processes and procedures.

About you:

You will need to be a confident communicator with excellent presentation skills, both written and verbal, as you will be expected to lead on regular reporting on the governance, risk and control framework to the Executive Board, Audit & Risk Committee and Trustee Board. You will take pride in your work being thorough and accurate, as maintaining up-to-date records, including Trustee and Committee member details, and Register of Interests will of great importance as well as supporting the Head of Governance, Risk & Assurance in maintaining policies across HRP, ensuring they are updated, approved, and shared with the organisation.

You will need to be proactive and able to work under your own initiative, undertaking research into updated legislation, developments by the Charity Commission and current best practice. Being personable and credible you will be expected to lead on Trustee inductions, working closely with the CEOs office.

Having strong administrative skills will be essential, as will having the ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales. You will also be responsible for compiling meeting agendas, collating and distributing board packs for Trustee Board and Committee meetings and others as required. Your attendance at these meetings will be required to take minutes and follow up on actions as will liaising with Trustees and Committee members to plan the diary and arrangement of meetings ensuring necessary equipment, refreshments and other requirements are met.

Degree educated with experience of dealing with senior stakeholders and a positive can-do attitude, you will have a strong interest in compliance and regulatory environments.
