Reward Consultant (Executive Reward)

Salary of £40,000 to £50,000, for national locations / Salary of £55,000 to £65,000 for London

This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven, ambitious Reward or Compensation & Benefits (C&B) professional to make the next step in their career, gaining extensive exposure to managing executive Reward processes and projects for Aviva.

A bit about the job:

Aligned to our Executive Reward team, your role will be focused on three key areas. Firstly, you will  lead preparations for the Aviva Group Remuneration Committee, which will include drafting papers, preparing status updates, and coordinating meetings; Secondly you will manage your own complex caseload for senior colleagues (up to Director level), which will entail completing package calculations, benchmarking exercises and also managing any buyouts / guarantees; and lastly, we want someone who is confident working on a range of Reward projects, which will include reporting & analysis tasks.

Aviva introduced “smart-working” in 2020 and encourage flexible working; however, the successful post-holder will need to be based a commutable distance from either our London, York, Bristol or Norwich offices.

Skills and experience we’re looking for:

  • You will have prior or current experience working in Reward or C&B focused role, and are now keen to further develop your skillset in, (or are hungry to learn more about) Executive Reward
  • Exposure to working for a large corporate / matrix business like Aviva
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a willingness to work with up to ExCo level in your next position
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail and a brilliant communicator
  • Ability to solve complex problems with simple solutions


What you’ll get for this role:

  • Annual salary of £40,000 to £50,000, for national locations and annual salary of £55,000 to £65,000 for London (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications).
