PLC Assistant Secretary

Our client is a leading UK infrastructure company. Fully listed, it now seeks to appoint an Assistant Secretary to work closely with the General Counsel/Company Secretary. Joining this small team/secretariat you will get a chance to be fully involved in a wide variety of Plc duties. The GC/Co Sec is hugely supportive, happy to “let go” and is keen for the new recruit to take on as much as they want to get involved in, the Board will also be very supportive. This role would suit a candidate with the following skills and experience;
 

  1. Experience gained in a London-listed (main market or AIM, or via a professional services firm) business in the company secretarial function, particularly agenda setting, meeting administration and minute taking.
  2. Sound judgment with demonstrable problem solving and decision-making skills
  3. Well organised with attention to detail
  4. Role model company values and behaviours
  5. Ability to multi-task and manage conflicting priorities, work to deadlines and under pressure
  6. Always maintains confidentiality and integrity, ensuring the utmost discretion
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  8. Self-motivated and pro-active
  9. Committed to developing own knowledge and skills
