Introduction to a qualification in corporate governance

Do you work in a governance support role? Would you like to get more structured training or want to refresh your knowledge of corporate governance codes and practices?

Our corporate governance qualifications are a flexible way of getting the knowledge and skills necessary to support you in your governance role.

The Certificate in Corporate Governance is a broad, introductory Level 4 course which covers the principles of good governance across many different sectors. You will develop a strong core knowledge of corporate governance frameworks and codes and be better placed to navigate governance structures and help mitigate potential issues.

This qualification is suitable if you are new to governance or working in a role with governance responsibilities attached to it, such as secretarial assistant, executive assistant or governance officer.

The Advanced Certificate in Corporate Governance is a Level 6 (graduate-level) qualification which will allow you to interpret the frameworks underlying the corporate governance law to support the development of good governance practices and effective stakeholder dialogue throughout your organisation.    

This course provides an in-depth understanding of the key concepts in the area of corporate governance, which include leadership and the role of the board, risk management and internal controls as well as shareholder relations. If you are already working in a relevant role in governance, compliance or risk, this course will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of what effective governance means and allow you to put it into practice.
