Hein Dries-Ziekenheiner LL.M is the CEO of VIGILO consult, a Netherlands based consultancy specialising in internet enforcement, cyber crime and IT law. Hein holds a masters degree in Dutch Civil law from Leiden University and has more than fifteen years of legal and technical experience in forensic IT and law enforcement on the internet.
Hein was technical advisor to the acclaimed Netherlands anti-spam team at OPTA, the Netherlands Independent Post and Telecommunications Authority, was responsible for the first ever fine issued to a spammer under the EU anti-spam legislation and was involved in, and lead, many a cyber crime related enforcement action.
Hein currently trains enforcement agencies in the use of internet in their investigations and advises both national and international (government) clients on (national) cyber security policy, or aspects thereof. He regularly publishes and speaks on issues relating to cyber security and cyber crime.
