Ben Murray, CEO at Avieco

Ben is Avvieco’s Chief Executive Officer, he moved into the world of sustainability after the birth of his first daughter, founding Avieco to build a great team of consultants set on helping businesses take on the challenge of sustainability in the 21st century. Ben has been working in sustainability and business efficiency for over 19 years. He has worked with many public and private organisations, leading wide-ranging programmes to achieve performance improvements, behavioural changes and sustainable results. He is a well-known and sought-after member of the sustainability community in the UK.

Ben oversees our major client engagements, helping senior managers develop business focused strategies to address sustainability challenges. He leads our responsible supply chain practice – helping global businesses to identify and address social and environmental impacts in supply chains. Some of Ben’s clients include several UK Government departments, Rathbone Brothers, Lloyd’s of London, BNP Paribas, Domino’s Pizza, Dimension Data, Royal Bank of Scotland, Iron Mountain, BUNZL and Dentsu Aegis Network. Ben is a graduate from the University of Birmingham, a member of the University of Cambridge Sustainability Leaders’ Network and an alumnus of Accenture and Oliver Wyman.

Julie Craig, Director at Avieco

Julie is an environmental reporting expert and has led the Strategy & Reporting team at Avieco for 10 years. She guides our largest multi-national clients on how to make their reporting best in class. Her team helps organisations to understand their legally required disclosure obligations and, where voluntary, how and where best to report environmental performance. She supports compliance with Mandatory Greenhouse Gas reporting regulations, the new SECR requirements, and wider mandatory non-financial reporting demands.

Julie also leads our verification programme providing an independent assessment of businesses’ emissions reporting against the ISO 14064-3 greenhouse gas verification standard.
Julie and her team actively support clients to improve their CDP scores year-on-year; and work with clients to set Science Based Targets (SBTs) and align to the recommendations of the TFCD (Task Force on Climate Related Disclosure).
