The UK Hydrographic Office (UKHO) is an executive agency, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence. We work with a wide range of data partners to chart the world's oceans in order to develop and serve world leading software and data solutions to commercial shipping companies, navies and maritime organisations.
The Secretariat and Governance Manager is right at the heart of everything that we do and is involved in every aspect of the organisation.
Working alongside senior military and civilian leaders this is a role that will play an exciting part in shaping our future. This role enables effective decision making at the highest levels of the organisation and provides an excellent opportunity to gain insight and experience vital to a person who aspires to a future in senior leadership.
The key responsibilities of the Secretariat and Governance Manager include:
- Overseeing the monitoring, management and actioning of UKHO freedom of information requests and parliamentary questions
- Acting as the point of contact within UKHO for ministerial submissions and responses to ministerial correspondence and official correspondence
- Managing UKHO corporate governance processes and ensuring the business adheres to relevant commitments and timescales
- Leading and managing a team of Executive Support Officers and the Chief Executive’s PA
