Commitment: 5-6 meetings per year

About the Liverpool Guild of Students

Our purpose as a Students’ Union is to act on behalf of our members to improve their time at the University of Liverpool, and to encourage them to become involved in opportunities available within the city of Liverpool. We are governed by a Board of Trustees, and work as a democratically led organisation for over 27,000 student members.

We are currently recruiting for an Independent Trustee, who will also act as the Treasurer and the Chair of the Resources & Audit Committee. The role of this Trustee will be to make sure that we remain financially solvent, legally compliant and working towards our strategic aims.

As we enter a new phase with our re-emergence, the Board will have a key role in setting, monitoring and evaluating the targets which support the aims and objectives for our plans.

The Board will also oversee and lead our Executive and staff team to deliver activities and services that fit with and inspire our members.
