Your new role
As Deputy Company Secretary, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining high standards of corporate governance and company secretarial practices for a fast-paced, publicly listed organisation. Reporting to the General Counsel, you'll work closely with the Legal team and have direct exposure to the Chair, Board of Directors, and Executive Leadership. Your responsibilities will span organising and managing Board and Committee meetings, supporting director onboarding and evaluations, maintaining statutory records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements including Listing Rules, DTR, and MAR. You'll also coordinate shareholder meetings and contribute to the Annual Report, while helping to implement governance systems and tools.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you'll need to be CGI/ICSA qualified with significant experience in a senior company secretarial position within a listed plc environment. A strong working knowledge of the Companies Act, UK Corporate Governance Code, Listing Rules, DTR, and MAR is essential. You'll bring a confident, independent, and results-driven approach, paired with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills. Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting are key. Just as importantly, you'll have a hands-on, can-do attitude-ready to take ownership of a wide variety of tasks, from the routine to the complex, and see them through to completion in support of a high-growth business.
