By doing this the Institute builds and maintains public trust in the insurance, financial planning, and mortgage advice professions.
Our vision

Your role
As a Governance Officer Apprentice, you will play a key role in supporting the Corporate Governance Department in delivering high standards of governance across the CII Group. Working closely with the Governance Director, Manager, and Officers, you will provide essential administrative support for Board and Committee meetings, including diary management, agenda preparation, document collation, and logistical coordination.
You will contribute to a wide range of governance activities, from statutory filings and policy maintenance to supporting financial processes and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. As your experience grows, you’ll take on responsibilities such as minute-taking, managing declarations of interest, and assisting with Board member onboarding and inductions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience while studying towards a Level 4 Governance apprenticeship, with the potential to progress towards Chartered status. You’ll be part of a collaborative team committed to continuous improvement and upholding the CII’s mission to build public trust in the insurance and financial planning profession.
