Briefed are delighted to be partnering with a leading professional services business in their search for an Assistant Company Secretary. Unlike a client-facing advisory role, this opportunity sits in-house, supporting the business’s own governance and compliance needs at group and subsidiary level.
In a nutshell…
- Acting as secretary to the Risk & Audit Committee, act in an advisory capacity and take ownership of the end to end process.
- Lead the annual review of Board and Committee Terms of Reference, ensuring best practice governance
- Play a key role in subsidiary governance, supporting subsidiary Boards and advising on governance matters
- Take responsibility for administering share schemes, ensuring accurate record-keeping, compliance, and effective communication with stakeholders
- Partner with senior leaders across the business to deliver governance excellence in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
The ideal candidate…
- ICSA/CGI part-qualified or qualified, with proven company secretarial experience
- Strong exposure to share schemes administration and governance
- Demonstrable track record of Board and Committee support, including minute-taking and meeting administration
- Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to advise senior stakeholders confidently
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable navigating complex governance challenges
