Part-time Company Secretary – FTSE Listed

We are currently working with a Real Estate company based in Yorkshire on the hire of a part-time Company Secretary to join this prestigious FTSE-listed firm. This position beckons a meticulous and governance-focused professional to become an integral part of the team, dedicated to upholding the highest standards of corporate governance.

This role will be instrumental in guiding the Chair and Board, advising on the evolving landscape of corporate governance practices, and ensuring the Board remains at the forefront changing regulation.

Responsibilities in this role include:

  • Updating and advising the Board regarding developments in corporate governance practices and requirements, in particular the QCA code of practice.
  • Assisting in the development of processes to support good corporate governance to ensure regulatory and market compliance.
  • Ensure that Board Members are presented with high quality, up to date information in advance of meetings and schedule meetings accordingly.
  • Assist the Board with Board evaluations.
  • Assist with the Development and Training of Board Members, if required, and the induction of new Board Members.
  • Assist the Board in maintaining effective relations with the Company’s key stakeholders, such as investors/shareholders.
  • Manage AGM and Dividend arrangements.
  • Manage share registrar services and company Share Schemes.  


This role is open to looking at individuals on a 2 or 3 day a week part-time basis and will offer a salary of circa £90,000 FTE plus further benefits.
