London/Hybrid (1-3 days in the office)

£55,000-65,000 DOE

Our market-leading global insurance client is recruiting for a passionate and enthusiastic Assistant Company Secretary to join their growing and dynamic secretariat, where you will be tasked with managing a portfolio of the Group subsidiaries, supporting the board and Group committees, and advising on corporate governance best practice as the business rapidly expands. The ideal candidate will be part/fully CGI qualified, and have experience working within a financial services regulated environment, and overseas entity management.

 

Role and Responsibilities

  • Supporting a variety of Group Committees with agenda packs, minuting and statutory compliance.
  • Acting as secretary to a portfolio of regulated and non-regulated international and UK entities, providing a comprehensive board support and statutory compliance service and working with the international teams when necessary. 
  • Advising on corporate governance best practice, for both projects and the new Governance Framework. 
  • Maintaining statutory books, companies house filings, subsidiary annual reporting accounts and regulatory returns. 

Skills and Experience

  • ICSA/CGI Part Qualified or Qualified. 
  • Experience within a regulated environment, preferably financial services or insurance.
  • Experience in managing subsidiary companies. 
  • Experience with Non-Executive Directors and Board\Committee chairs. 
  • Knowledge of Blueprint/Diligent entities and Diligent Boards or similar.
