Senior Assistant Company Secretary (12-month FTC)

We are currently working with a well-respected FTSE 250, who are looking to appoint a Senior Assistant Company Secretary to cover a 12-month maternity leave. The position, which will see you joining the firm’s friendly team in Kent, will give you a chance to support the Group’s Board and Committees whilst ensuring that compliance is followed, along with a range of listed responsibilities. They offer a hybrid working environment of 3 days in the office, 2 from home, with occasional travel to London for meetings.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Release of stock exchange announcements
  • Assist with AGM preparation
  • Involvement in share plans
  • Acting as Secretary to Board Committees, along with coordination of meetings and preparation of papers
  • Make sure that Market Abuse Regime obligations are followed
  • Draw up notices and amendments that meet statutory and regulatory demands
  • Form a good relationship with members of the Board

 

Experience and Qualifications

  • CGI qualification (or other equivalent qualification)
  • Previous experience within a listed organisation
  • Financial services experience desirable
  • Share plans experience desirable

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Outstanding organisation abilities
  • Able to prioritise workload and work well under pressure
