Board Secretary (part-time) – Financial Services
£Market Rate, Essex/Home based
We are exclusively partnering with a well-respected financial services organisation, who are seeking a part-time seasoned governance professional to support their Board and Committees at the highest level. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with the senior leadership team and manage the firm’s company secretarial function, whilst upholding the highest governance standards. The position equally offers great flexibility as the role holder will only be required to attend Board and Committee meetings, which are held one day a month at their Essex office. Responsibilities:
- Providing solid governance support to the Board and Committees, including meeting management, agenda preparation and follow up actions
- Liaise closely with the CEO, NEDs and executive team, managing requests when needed
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal and regulatory standards
- Taking ownership of the Annual General Meeting
Experience and Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a company secretarial position within financial services
- Sound knowledge of governance frameworks, including PRA and FCA regulations
- Extensive board support experience

- Strong communicator with proven ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders
- Highly organised, proactive, and solutions-focused
