Overview
An established and consistently high-performing Lloyd’s syndicate is looking to appoint an Assistant Company Secretary to support its governance function. Operating in the specialist insurance market, the organisation is known for its long-term commitment to clients, collaborative culture and ability to deliver high-quality solutions in a dynamic and evolving industry.
Reporting directly to the Company Secretary, the Assistant Company Secretary will play a key role in supporting Board and Committee activities, ensuring strong governance and maintaining high standards of corporate compliance and record-keeping across multiple regulated entities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate minutes for Board and Committee meetings.
- Coordinate meeting schedules, agendas, work plans and action tracking.
- Manage timely statutory filings and maintain company registers and records.
- Support effective governance processes in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
Experience and Qualifications
- Chartered Secretary qualification (or studying towards) preferred.
- Company Secretarial experience in a regulated or insurance environment desirable.
- Proficient in Diligent Entities (or similar governance tools).
- Skilled in minute taking, drafting resolutions and managing corporate records.
Attitudes and Behaviours
- Organised, detail-oriented and reliable under pressure.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional and comfortable handling sensitive information.
- Proactive, collaborative and confident engaging with senior stakeholders.
