A highly regarded financial services group is seeking a Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join its close-knit London Secretariat, reporting to an outstanding Group Company Secretary. In this pivotal role, you’ll support regulated Boards and Committees, provide guidance across the business, and mentor junior team members. You will enjoy full exposure to all key events in the group’s annual corporate calendar, working closely with stakeholders at all levels. Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end for regulated Board and Committees working closely with senior stakeholders including working closely with NEDs.
- Develop the corporate governance framework ensuring implementation
- Provide advisory services in relation to governance at Executive level.
- Work with and support other functions from Finance, Legal, Compliance on corporate governance matters.
- Assist with Board Effectiveness Reviews
Essential Skills, Experience and Qualifications
- Previous company secretarial experience within a UK regulated company
- Extensive working knowledge of the most up-to-date legal, corporate governance and regulatory frameworks.
- Must possess strong minute-taking experience.
- Ideally full qualified member of the CGI

- Must possess keen attention to detail and excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work in a proactive and independent manner, as well as being a strong team-player able to build successful working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across all levels.
- Flexible and ‘can-do’ approach, whilst remaining confident with shifting workloads and prioritising multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
