Our client, a well-established professional services organisation, have a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to kickstart their corporate governance career by joining their team as Trainee Company Secretary. The role will see you joining the high-calibre team and providing administrative and company secretarial support for a portfolio of UK-listed funds. The firm are ideally looking for people with the Masters in Corporate Governance, however they are open to seeing individuals who are passionate and driven about corporate governance. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the London Listed Governance Team.

  • Prepare documentation for board and committee meetings, including collation and production of board packs using electronic board portals.

  • Attend board and committee meetings with responsibility for administrative follow-up and minute-taking as required.

  • Maintain accurate records of board and committee meetings, including statutory records.

  • Assist with statutory filings and ensure effective document management and record-keeping.

Experience and Qualifications 

  • Interest in governance, compliance, or company secretarial work.

  • Willingness to pursue relevant professional qualifications (e.g. CGI, ICSA).

  • Competence in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
