Interim Senior Governance Manager - Banking
£600-£700 per day via umbrella, London/Kent
We are partnering with a FTSE-250, financial services business to appoint an Interim Senior Governance Manager to join the team at short notice. This is a high-impact role that will support the Board, senior leadership, and group governance functions across the organisation and its subsidiaries. The right candidate will play a key role in the business's year-end activities, so will have extensive experience with annual report and accounts, in addition to demonstrable experience running AGMs. This is a great role reporting to a credible CoSec and the business could be flexible for the right person in terms of office presence. If this role sounds of interest, and you’re ready to step into a new contract then please get in touch!
What You’ll Be Doing
- Serve as Secretary to Board Committees, Executive Committees, and ad hoc governance forums.
- Advise senior executives and the Board on governance best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Co-lead the preparation of the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Draft and review sections of the Annual Report relating to governance.
- Support the governance framework for subsidiaries, including acting as Secretary to regulated or significant legal entities.
- Provide clear, practical guidance on governance policies, processes, and compliance across the group.
Who You Are
- A seasoned governance professional with 5+ years’ experience in Company Secretariat or governance roles.
- Comfortable operating in a listed environment; experience in regulated sectors is a strong plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communicator — able to distil complex governance concepts for stakeholders at all levels.
- Able to quickly adapt, act with influence, and deliver results in a fast-paced interim setting.
