£Competitive, Hampshire (Hybrid, 3 days wfh)

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established listed organisation as an Assistant Company Secretary. The role sits within a collaborative and supportive company secretariat team and plays a key part in ensuring the smooth functioning of the organisation’s statutory, regulatory and governance obligations.

You will act as a central point of coordination for legal entity management, statutory compliance, subsidiary governance, working closely with senior leaders, Finance, Tax and other internal teams, helping maintain high governance standards across the group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain statutory records for the organisation and its entities, ensuring timely filings.
  • Work with internal teams on the incorporation, restructuring or closure of legal entities.
  • Maintain and routinely update the Group structure chart and legal entity database, ensuring compliance requirements for all subsidiaries are monitored and met.
  • Oversee preparation and approval of statutory accounts and routine subsidiary Board documentation.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

Experience and Qualifications

  • Degree in law, business, finance or a related area (preferred).
  • CGI qualification.
  • Experience in a UK-listed plc or professional services.

Attributes and Behaviours

  • Strong analytical, governance and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build understanding of internal processes and work with moderate autonomy.
  • Clear communication skills for providing information in a concise and straightforward manner.
