We're working on a superb Assistant Company Secretary opportunity with a high performing insurance business based in London. This is a varied role and will work closely with the Group Company Secretary on implementing new governance procedures, being responsible for committees, transactions, horizon-scanning and developing policies. Although there is a preference to hire someone with extensive experience already operating at this level within the insurance sector, they are not opposed to seeing someone step up or move from a different sector if they provide the right qualities. Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide company secretarial services to Group-level board and committees, including attending meetings and taking minutes
  • Advise, draft and implement policies and procedures to support the Group so that they comply with SOX/listed company requirements
  • Support Group-level entities and their capital raising activities
  • Maintain statutory registers using Diligent Entities
  • Manage and provide information, including KYC and powers of attorney relating to Group-level Boards and Committees and M&A

Experience and Qualifications:

  • ICSA qualified/part-qualified preferred
  • Previous Governance/Company Secretarial experience, preferably within either the insurance industry or financial services
  • Experience drafting/developing policy and processes is desirable

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills to work with people of varying importance
  • Able to work well under pressure and within strict deadlines
