Job title: Graphic Designer

Contract: Temporary (freelance) – 3 months

Salary: c. £200-220 p.d.

Hours: 28 hours per week (4 full days Mon-Thu)

Location: Farringdon, London, EC1N (with hybrid remote working options)

Reports to: Head of Marketing

Statement of Work

You will work on a temporary freelance basis, supporting the CGIUKI marketing team, through a period of running a major website rebuild project, due to go live end of September:-

  1. There is a need for redesigning of a large series of pdfs. This will range from simple ‘drag and drop’ from old to new template, to re-creating some online downloadable catalogues.
  2. As new webpages are being built by the content migration team, there is a need to slot in some digital graphics/tables etc to better explain the pages’ content and overall support website UX.
  3. CGIUKI holds a disparate image library, made up of recent event photos. In order to make the most of the website design, we need support with image selection and cropping to give an authentic look and minimise use of stock imagery.
  4. Our redesign of the website has ‘stretched’ our current brand guidelines and it will be necessary for a new set of brand guidelines to be recreated so that the ‘evolution’ of the branding is reflected in all our channels moving forward.

Purpose of job

Reporting to the Contact Centre Team Lead, the Customer Support Advisor will be the first point of contact in all interactions with our customer and member base which includes: students, members, employers, and customers, ensuring a first class and personalised experience is delivered. The role is key in delivering exceptional customer service experience and improved customer satisfaction, retention rates and increasing sales of CGI qualifications, training, and memberships.

Key Accountabilities

  • Work with stakeholders around the business and from marketing team to ensure all design requirements are received and executed against agreed timescales.
  • Support and collaborate with the wider Digital team to agree optimal layouts to ensure an engaging look and feel to the website.
  • Support the Website project team in delivering the new website to agreed project timelines.

Person Specification

  • Highly experienced in digital graphic design for marketing purposes
  • Artistic direction for website particularly image selection
  • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite particularly InDesign
  • Comfortable with Figma and/or Canva
  • An eye for detail, quality and consistency
