Community

Our welcoming, collaborative community is something we’re very proud of – and we know our members are, too. There are so many ways to get involved with CGIUKI: share your views, learn, network, get recognition and benefit from the professional support of over 40,000 governance professionals worldwide.

There are over 10,000 members in the UK, plus a much wider governance community who engage with our valuable content and guidance, attend our events and conferences. Our 25 branches and regions are active in producing their own events, so there is plenty to get involved with.

We are always looking for subject matter experts to work on small and large governance-related projects with us. Reach out and offer your services, and feel the value in getting involved.

Get involved with one of our volunteer-led groups that provide a local face of excellence in governance, with networking, CPD events and activities open to members and non-members.

We encourage the governance community to contribute to the work of the Institute and make a difference to themselves and their peers.

We regularly respond to consultations from government departments and regulators – but we can’t do it without our members.

Do you have a specific area of interest, work in a certain sector, or feel underrepresented in the profession? Explore our existing special interest groups — or start your own — to share learning, solutions and to support each other.
