We have an incredibly exciting and rare opening for an experienced company secretarial professional to join a highly-renowned UK-based charity, working as Company Secretarial Assistant. Reporting into the Deputy Company Secretary, the role will see you support the charity’s board and committees and having a pivotal impact on the charity by strengthening the Company Secretariat’s governance processes. If you have the gravitas and have strong experience ideally from the not-for-profit sector and are eager to broaden your experience with a high-calibre and supportive team,then this may be the role for you!
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Supporting the charity’s boards and committees, including writing Committee Chair briefings, attending meetings and drafting minutes
- Supporting submissions of the charity’s annual report and accounts
- Support the Deputy Company Secretary in reviewing the charities group structure and in delivering activities relating to the Council and its Committees
- Assist in maintain the charity’s registers and records and support the maintenance of statutory filing requirements for the group entities and subsidiaries
Experience and Qualifications
- Strong experience of servicing board and committees, including minute-taking and supporting board members
- Proven knowledge of governance requirements and best practices
- CGI qualified is desirable but not a necessity
Attitudes and Behaviours
- Highly-organised with the ability to manage a varied workload
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in order to build relationships of varying seniorities
