Teresa Le Couteur is Group Company Secretary for Northern Trust Guernsey and has personal responsibility for the governance function within Northern Trust’s Guernsey operation. As part of this, Teresa acts as named Company Secretary to Northern Trust (Guernsey) Limited, a bank licensed to operate in Guernsey; Northern Trust Fiduciary Services (Guernsey) Limited, the private wealth arm of Northern Trust’s Guernsey business; Northern Trust Fund Administration Services (Guernsey) Limited, which is the fund administration arm of Northern Trust’s Guernsey business; and a number of subsidiaries.
Teresa has 20+ years’ experience in the Finance Industry and extensive knowledge of Offshore Funds, Trusts, Company Secretarial work, Compliance and Corporate Governance gained through tenures with various firms in both Guernsey and Jersey; including Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Fund specialists. Teresa has experience of managing client entities across various other jurisdictions; including the BVI, Cayman, Cyprus, Delaware, France, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and the UK.
Named Company Secretary of the Year at the 2020 ICSA Guernsey Awards, Teresa is a Chartered Secretary and holds a Master’s Degree in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University.
Teresa is Mum to two primary school aged little men and in her free time likes to enjoy the natural beauty of Guernsey through long walks and runs on the beaches, cliff paths, etc. (including puddle jumping of course!). She also enjoys curling up with a good book and a hot mug of tea (preferably by the fireplace), along with spending time with friends doing whatever and going wherever the fancy takes them.
Danielle McIver is a Senior Relationship Manager at Northern Trust International Fund Administration Services (Guernsey) Limited.
Danielle is a Chartered Accountant, Chartered Secretary and Member of the Securities Institute. She also holds Associate Membership with the IOD.
Originally joining Northern Trust in 2010 in a custodial and institutional client servicing capacity, Danielle left Northern Trust for 7 years before returning in 2020 as Vice President in the Global Fund Services team.
In her most recent experience prior to re-joining Northern Trust, Danielle held a senior management position at another Global Administrator and was responsible for leading and developing a Middle Eastern strategy. Danielle also led the new business team and a client servicing team comprising of private client, corporate and family office relationships. Danielle held a regulator authorised position and was an appointed director on both internal and client boards.
Kate is Head of University Programmes at the GTA University Centre, as well as being the company secretary and fulfilling the HR function for the organisation. She joined the GTA in 2003 after spending ten years working in an HR function within the States of Guernsey.
Kate holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Chichester, is an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute, has also completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Marketing with the University of Southampton.
Helen Kaines is a Director, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of Zenith Family Office Services Limited and has specialised in offshore private client trust and company administration business for over thirty years at various different companies.
Helen is an associate member of The Chartered Governance Institute, a member of STEP, a member of the International Compliance Association and holds a Masters degree in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University.
Grant is Chief Investment Officer of Asset Risk Consultants Limited. He has worked in International Finance for more than thirty five years, initially as an investment manager and executive director of a number of fund management companies, including Martin Currie Investment Management Limited and Gartmore Investment Trust Management Limited. For the last ten years Grant has worked as an Investment Consultant based in Guernsey and has served as a Trustee or Director on a number boards of charities and private and public entities.
Grant is an Associate of The CFA Society of the UK (ASIP), a Member of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (MCSI) and an Associate of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS). He has a degree in Business Administration from Strathclyde University.
Sonia is Managing Director of Collas Crill Trust Limited, an independent provider of trust and corporate solutions to private clients and institutions. She has over thirty years experience working in the Guernsey fiduciary sector and as well as being an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute she also holds the Institute of Directors (IoD) Diploma in Company Direction.
Sonia joined Collas Crill Trust Limited in January 2018 and during her career she has looked after large, complex structures spanning multiple jurisdictions. She has specialised in structures for entrepreneurial clients and has expertise in private equity, corporate governance and the management of non-traditional assets.
Itayi is a Private Equity Senior Fund Accountant at BNP Paribas Securities Services Guernsey Branch with the responsibility of looking after the quarterly and annual reporting requirements of investment funds and other regulated entities. In his role, Itayi works with Boards of Directors on clients under his portfolio providing them with critical information on accounting, administration and corporate governance issues impacting their entities. Before joining BNP, Itayi spent more than 9 years as an external auditor where he worked on a diversified portfolio of listed and non-listed clients across the UK, Channel Islands and Zimbabwe.
Itayi is an Associate of The Governance Institute. For the year 2021, Itayi serves on the Technical Sub-Committee of the Guernsey Branch Committee. Itayi is also a qualified Chartered Accountant and holds a Masters’ Degree in Corporate Governance from the University of Bournemouth.
In his spare time, Itayi enjoys running and raising money for charities. Itayi also spends time mentoring young students who aspire to be future accountants and corporate governance professionals.
Clive is a Director within Sanne Group (Guernsey) Limited (“Sanne”). He has over 25 years’ experience in the offshore finance industry with a focus on investment funds for the last 20 years. Prior to joining Sanne he worked for a mid-size fund administrator where he was an Associate Director, with responsibility for the administration of several venture capital, technology, private equity funds and real estate funds.
Over the last ten years Clive has held appointments on the boards of several venture capital funds specialising in mid-market buy outs, e-commerce, technology and property development both in the Far-East, Northern Europe and in the United Kingdom. As well as holding the appointments as Alternate Director to a portfolio of various private equity funds. Clive has also acted as principal Company Secretary to a Guernsey licensed fund administrator.
His experience includes work on many structures, including those listed on the London Stock Exchange Alternative Investment Market, the Channel Islands Securities Exchange and Sharia compliant funds.
Clive is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants, a Chartered Member: Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and investments, he holds the Islamic Finance Qualification and has an MSc in Corporate Governance from Bournemouth University.
Colin is a company secretary for BNP Paribas Securities Services, and also acts as the secretary for Liberate, a Guernsey charity serving the local LGBTQ+ population. He joined BNP Paribas in 2021, after spending five years working in governance roles at the Northern Trust Corporation, and the Sovereign Group in Guernsey. Prior to relocating to Guernsey in 2016, Colin worked in the non-profit sector and supported organizations in the United States, Canada, and Guyana.
Colin holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Toronto, where he double-majored in International Development Studies and Health Studies. He is an Associate of The Chartered Governance Institute, having been admitted in 2021. In his free time, Colin enjoys travelling, cooking, and taking part in amateur theatre productions.
