East Africa Region

Welcome to CGI Uganda, The Chartered Governance Institute - East Africa Region. We provide support to the Institute's members and students in Uganda and the rest of East Africa.

About Us

We provide support to the Institute's members and students in the region.

The aims of the branch are:

  • To offer CPD and networking events for members and non-members alike.
  • To support and encourage students.
  • To promote the profession in Uganda and East Africa.

“The CGIUKI Qualifying Programme taught me how to sit confidently at the table and truly see the ‘big picture.’ It helped me understand how governance connects a company’s high‑level strategy with its day‑to‑day execution. That insight has completely transformed how I communicate with senior stakeholders. I now enter those conversations as a strategic advisor, not just a support function.”

Annabel Mwiine GradCG
