Nicola Carroll

Nicola is Corporate Governance Director at Rolls-Royce Holdings plc, responsible for the delivery of the broad remit of the Governance Team and providing professional support to the Chief Governance Officer, the Chair, the Board and the Executive Team. Additional responsibilities include acting as secretary to the Group’s Audit and Disclosure Committees.

Nicola has strong FTSE 100 listed corporate governance experience, with significant board exposure gained in large, complex and regulated organisations. Having joined Rolls-Royce in September 2018, her prior roles were with Royal Mail as Deputy Secretary and with Centrica as Head of Secretariat. Nicola has developed high-performing teams and is a huge supporter of individuals coming into the career and helping them realise the value of the role, encouraging their growth and exposure to become confident governance professionals.

Nicola is a fellow of The Chartered Governance Institute, an examiner for the Institute and a mentor on their mentoring programme. She was joint winner of the Institute’s award for Corporate Governance Professional of the Year in November 2021.
