As Group Company Secretary, Robert heads the Secretariat team at Tesco. His team provides legal and corporate governance support to the Tesco Board and the boards of all other legal entities in the Tesco group, as well as servicing the Company’s shareholders.
He has over 25 years’ experience as a company secretary in a wide range of businesses covering corporate governance, board support, shareholder relations, corporate transactions, insurance and reward. Prior to joining Tesco, he was Company Secretary of FirstGroup plc and Kazakhmys plc, he trained as a company secretary with British Gas plc and has held senior positions at BPB plc and Kwik Save Group plc.
He sits on the Executive Committee of the Association of General Counsel and Company Secretaries of FTSE 100 companies (GC100) and is a member of the CGI’s Company Secretaries Forum and the Primary Markets Group of the London Stock Exchange.
