Peter Swabey is Policy and Research Director at CGIUKI. He is responsible for developing CGIUKI’s profile to members, regulators, policymakers, employers and other stakeholders by delivering thought leadership and lobbying campaigns aligned to CGIUKI strategy and promoting strong governance as the vital ingredient for success in organisations. Peter joined CGIUKI in 2013 and has almost 30 years’ industry experience. Prior to CGIUKI, Peter was at Equiniti where he was Company Secretary and Industry Leadership Director; he was also a Director of Equiniti David Venus, Equiniti’s Company Secretarial Services provider.
Peter Adams, Partner, De Pinna Notaries
Peter specialises in Spanish and Portuguese language notarial work. He joined De Pinna in November 2007, qualified as a Notary Public in 2012 and as a Scrivener Notary in 2014. Peter is committed to upholding and advancing De Pinna’s legacy, preparing clients’ documents to the highest standards and facilitating cross-border transactions. In addition to Spanish language notarial work, Peter specialises in the notarisation of electronic signatures. Outside of his notarial work, he sits on the Technology Sub-Committee of the Society of Scrivener Notaries.
Iain Ostrowski-Rogers is an internationally recognised specialist for his notarial work in relation to the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. He qualified as a Scrivener Notary in 2000 and has been consulting with De Pinna since 2019. He is on the court of the Scriveners Company and acts as the Company’s Examinations Officer. In addition, Iain is an academic consultant to the Notarial Practice Course at University College London, the course director of the Notarial Professional Course run by the Faculty of Notaries Public in Ireland and provides tuition in notarial practice and acts as an examiner in Hong Kong, Guernsey and Jersey. Iain has committed his career to raising standards within the notarial profession in England and Wales and other jurisdictions with similar systems and leading by example as a dedicated Scrivener Notary.
Silvana joined the Board of The Chartered Governance Institute UK & Ireland in August 2023, having been a co-opted member since March 2022. She joined Keller Group as Group Head of Secretariat in October 2020. She has been working in corporate governance since 2004 and for UK premium listed companies, including FirstGroup, British Land, International Distributions Services (formerly Royal Mail) and Prudential, since 2006. Silvana is a member of the Institute’s Thought Leadership Committee, a member of the Governance Officer Apprenticeship Trailblazer Group, a practitioner member of the European Corporate Governance Institute and a member of the Association of Corporate Secretaries of Latin America.
